Day
One Heading
West from Central London we travel to ancient Avebury, Europe's
largest Neolithic stone circle where you can touch the stones and
get your batteries charge on the St Michaels energy line. We
continue on through the quaint country roads and into the Cotswolds
via the giant white chalk hill carvings of Wessex.
Visit a classic Cotswolds village after which we explore the
beautiful City of Bath.
Experience the City's lively streets including the Kings Circus,
Royal Crescent, Abbey and assembly rooms and enjoy a first night out
in this great city.
Day
Two After
Breakfast we take a walk up the impressive Glastonbury Tor for
amazing views before exploring King Arthur's legendary birthplace -
Tintagel Castle, Cornwall. Try a traditional Cornish pasty in
Newquay, Europe's top surfing capital, perhaps even head out on the
waves for some optional Surfing or sea fishing or Just sit back,
relax and unwind on the beautiful sandy beaches
Day
Three The
morning is spent exploring the dramatic coastline down to Lands End
stopping first in the picturesque fishing town of St Ives. Wander
small cobbled streets, visit working art galleries (including the
Tate) and marvel at the amazing rocky bays, crystal blue water and
white sandy beaches. See Celtic monuments and hear tales of the
Pirates of Penzance before a performance and picnic at the spectacular
located cliff top amphitheatre, The Minack.
Finish
this amazing day with a drink in the 'First and Last', ancient pirate
pub and last on the road to Lands End...eye eye captain.....!
Day
Four From
Lands End we make our way to the award winning Eden Project where you
can wander through the inspirational global greenhouse for the 21st
Century - before heading across enchanted Dartmoor, Hound of the
Baskerville country. See the clapper bridge (ancient Celtic bridge)
Dartmoor Prison, Hound tour and Jays Grave. Pose for a photo stop with
some cute wild ponies before a real Devonshire cider tasting
experience! (not for the faint hearted).....and a hearty meal in a
scenic canal side pub.
Back to Exeter for a last night out on the town.
Day
Five Enjoy
some quality time in Roman Exeter with its awesome Medieval Gothic
Cathedral, Roman walls and historic quayside. We challenge you to find
the narrowest street in the world!. Our grand finale to this great
trip is a visit to the world famous Stonehenge , a 5000 year old
masterpiece of ancient technology and craftsmanship. After some
quality time at this ancient marvel, we make our way back to London
arriving late afternoon.
