Itinerary
Wednesday:
Prague – Kutna Hora – Olomouc
After a
short drive across the Czech Republic we reach UNESCO
listed Kutna Hora, a picturesque medieval town where
you'll discover the famous church made from human
bones! After lunch we travel to the Moravian capital
Olomouc. It’s a pre-touristy hidden gem, a
university town of pubs, churches, castles, no
tourists and amazingly cheap prices.
Thursday:
Olomouc – Auschwitz - Krakow
Today
we visit Auschwitz, the Nazi death camp, an eerie
experience before heading on to Krakow and a walking
tour covering the complete list of Schindler’s
Krakow.
Friday:
Krakow
A day
to explore the beauty of Krakow; the castle district,
the Jewish quarter, its bustling markets, the historic
old town – there’s so much to see before an
evening meal of Polish specialties.
Saturday:
Krakow – Zakopane
Enjoy a
nice long breakfast in Krakow, before driving in the
Tatra mountains for some alpine revelry in Zakopane.
Take the chance to hike to an alpine hut and spend the
night on top of Eastern Europe.
Sunday:
Zakopane
Adventrue
day! Log rafting, horse riding, paragliding, hiking,
canoeing or just kick back in the village and marvel
at the handicrafts and log church’s.
Monday:
Zakopane - Budapest
We
leave Poland and head south into Hungary along the old
Slavic trade routes, stopping for a picnic lunch in
the Slovakian mountains of the Donovally. Upon
arriving in Budapest we will acquaint you with the
party capital of the east with an evening walking/pub
crawl/tour.
