Day 1 London - Normandy
Meet your Tour Leader at The
Globetrotter Inn at 6.30am for 7.00am departure. We drive to
the port of Dover and board our cross channel ferry. Remember
to put your watches forward an hour as we arrive in Calais.
Travelling through the countryside, we cross the imposing Pont
de Normandy at Le Havre and arrive at the ‘Gite’ in the
afternoon. There’s a chance to sample the local drink Crème
de Calvados (like Baileys), before tonight when we cook our
own barbeque (included) and enjoy a night getting to know your
fellow travellers.
Day 2 Normandy
After breakfast we drive to the
Viaduc de la Soulevre, where there are adventure activities
such as roping course and the flying fox. For the extreme
among us there is the AJ Hackett bungy jump. Later, it is on
to Mont St Michel where there is ample time to tour the
island. There are four museums inside as well as the Abbey
(Maritime, History, Le Logis Tiphaine, and Architectural
Museum). Abbey cost: Adult 8 euro. Tonight, we try a local
restaurant with the adrenaline still pumping!
