Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Paris: Upon arrival in Paris, the day
is yours to explore or relax. Be sure to check into the hotel in time for
the arrival meeting with your fellow travellers and Tour Manager. After
dinner, we enjoy Paris by night with our illuminations tour. (D)
Day 2: Paris
Sightseeing: Today's sightseeing includes some of the most
celebrated icons of Europe. Perhaps take the opportunity to visit the Louvre,
Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Elysées. Tonight,
why not complete your Parisian experience with a French meal and a famous
Parisian cabaret? (B)
Day 3: Paris
Sightseeing: Free time today to continue exploring this
fascinating city. (B)
Day 4: Paris
to Champagne Region: Leaving behind the glitz and glamour of
Paris we head to the more peaceful region of Champagne situated east of the
capital. Here you will have the opportunity to sample local produce and even
purchase a souvenir bottle of bubbly. (B,D)
Day 5: Champagne
Region to French Alps: Today we take a scenic drive through
the Burgundy region on our way to our stop for the next three nights at the
foothills of the spectacular French Alps. (B,D)
Days 6
- 7: French Alps at Leisure: Your chance to take the
cable-car to the Aiguille du Midi where the view of Mont Blanc is
breathtaking. Alternatively, walk the many mountain paths, hire a bike or
relax around town. (B)(B,D)
Day 8: French
Alps to Provence: Today we head south to Aix-en-Provence which
was once home to the French Painter Paul Cezanne. Enjoy the street side
cafes on Cours Mirabeau, or mingle with locals in this university city. (B)
Day 9: Provence
to French Riviera: Today we arrive on the Cote D'Azur and
visit Cannes - home of the Film Festival. Rub shoulders here with the rich
and famous before making our way to Nice which will be our base for the next
two nights. (B,D)
Day 10: French
Riviera at Leisure: Relax this morning and soak up the
atmosphere of the capital of the Riviera. A chance to shop in France or
simply enjoy the beach. An opportunity to visit the medieval hilltop town of
St Paul de Vence. (B)
Day 11: Depart
French Riviera: Time to swap addresses with your new found
friends as your tour ends after breakfast. (B)
