TOUR
ITINERARY:
DAY
ONE:
We travel north from London and Cambridge early in the morning to
arrive in Scotland's capital, Edinburgh by 11.15 am. The normal
journey time from London is just under 5 hours, which means you can
have breakfast in England and Lunch in Scotland!
On arrival in
Edinburgh we will check any luggage into the hotel and then start
our 2 hour guided tour of Edinburgh's Old Town. We make our way from
The Palace of Holyrood up the Royal Mile, passing the grave of the
famous economist Adam Smith until eventually arriving outside one of
Scotland's most well-known landmarks, Edinburgh Castle, where you
can get some spectacular views over the city.
You may wish
to join us for drinks and a meal in restaurant close to your hotel -
we promise you will enjoy our evenings just as much as the
sightseeing! Coming away on a tour like this is also a great way of
meeting people from all over the world.
DAY
TWO:
If you are travelling on our tour into the Scottish Highlands and
Loch Ness (tour B), prepare to see some amazing scenery. The
landscape is rugged, wild and very different to other parts of
Britain - it's simply breathtaking. The tour leaves from the hotel
at 8am and arrives back at 7.30pm. Please note that we only have a
limited number of places on this tour and you should inform us at
the time of booking if you would like to join.
During the
Evening, you can join our activities. Today, we will have a
traditional Scottish Haggis meal (don't worry if you don't want to
try Haggis, as there is a wide choice of other dishes). After the
meal, we will go on a pub crawl, giving you the chance to try fine
Scotch Whisky and many other imported beverages. We will then visit
one of Edinburgh's best nightclubs, where you can find music to
every taste! Your guide will be there with you and will return to
your accommodation in the early hours of the morning
DAY
THREE:
8.00 am Coach depart hotel for
return journey back to England
After an early breakfast, we sadly have to say goodbye
and travel back to England.
Our train passes past some wonderful coastal scenery so if you are
quick enough you may get some good photos of the the journey home.
We arrive back in London and Cambridge by mid-afternoon.

A
A 2 hour professionally guided tour of Edinburgh. Guest
house/hotel accommodation in central Edinburgh with breakfast. Rooms
are multi-occupancy with TV, shower and toilet. Twin and single
rooms also available for just £15 per person extra. Return travel
in standard class from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh by
train.
Tour
B
Same as Tour A but also including a 1 day tour into the Scottish
Highlands and Loch Ness with an experienced and fun driver/guide.
Hotel
Accommodation
All accommodation on this tour is based on staying in a centrally
located family run hotel in multi-bedded rooms. Twin rooms are also
available for supplement of £15 per person.
