Thursday: Budapest – Bratislava – Vienna
We slip out of Budapest and head west to Bratislava, the
Slovakian capital for some sightseeing and lunch.
In the afternoon we’ll cruise into Vienna; Opera
tickets can be arranged in the season.
Friday:
Vienna
A day at leisure in this stunning capital; bike or
stroll the boulevards, visit stunning Schloss
Schoenbrunn and its immaculately preserved gardens, delight
on melange and Vienna's famous Sacher torte in the many
old town cafe's, or get tranced in world class
museums of this Hapsburgian wonder. All this followed
by a night at a typical Austrian Heuriger.
Saturday:
Vienna – Wachau - Cesky Krumlov
We travel towards the Czech Republic through the Wachau
Valley, a UNESCO listed area and one of Austria’s
finest wine regions, for some wine tasting on the Grape
Grazing Tour. Cruise along the Danube,
sipping, swirling and slurping Austria's best wines
before traveling onto Cesky Krumlov, a Bohemian jewel
where a night of revelry awaits.
Sunday:
Cesky Krumlov
A day of relaxation, canoeing along the Vltava river,
enjoying Bohemian shopping delights in the old town, or
a visit to the impressive castle district.
Monday:
Cesky Krumlov – Budweis – Prague
We travel on to the Bohemian capital, Prague, stopping
in Budweis for a tour and taste of that famous Bohemian
Budwar beer. Once in Prague we will set off on an
evening walk through the amber lit Bohemian capital.
Tuesday:
Prague
Prague lays waiting; there are bagels to be eaten, beer
to be drunk, sights to be seen – its your day out
exploring this magnificent Czech capital.
