Day One : Dublin – Belfast

Leaving Dublin we head straight for the Boyne River Valley to relive the Battle of the Boyne. Then it’s on to see High Celtic Crosses amid the ruined churches of Monasterboice. We lunch on the spectacular Cooley peninsula then it’s over the border and through ‘Bandit Country’ as we make our way to Belfast – capital of the North. Here we take a world famous Black Cab tour into the troubled heartlands of the city to see political murals and learn of conflict and resolution. Brace yourself for a wild night – Belfast style!

Home for tonight : Belfast

Day Two : Belfast – Derry

Traveling through the lush Glens of Antrim we make our way to the stunning Causeway Coast. We’ll step out onto the awe-inspiring Giant’s Causeway, cross the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge(Summer only),visit Dunluce Castle and pop into the Bushmills Whiskey distillery. Then it’s on to Derry City to walk the medieval walls and venture into the Bogside area for tales of Bloody Sunday. Leave the Troubles behind for a fun filled night of traditional music and song.

Home for the night – Derry

Day Three : Derry - Dublin

Leaving Derry we make our way to Enniskillen – a pretty island town on Lough Erne infamous from the troubled 80s. Then we head for the hills – to the ancient Passage Grave at Lough Crew – older than the pyramids of Giza! We finish with a guided tour of Trim Castle – a twelfth century Anglo Norman fortress which some would say was where the Troubles all began! Back then to Dublin – The Fair City.
